Alec has almost a decade of experience helping others have fun and gain confidence through debate. He was co-captain of the Bard Early College debate team, bringing the school to its first national-level tournaments, where he frequently broke into elimination rounds. He went to college in the Netherlands, where he was an accomplished Parliamentary debater, in addition to being secretary and chair of the debate society. He taught an Honors College class for over two years on public speaking and debate, and has recently volunteered with New York’s Urban Debate League. When not debating, he loves running, biking, and learning about geography.
